Gallery

The ESAC Gallery showcases art by numerous local artists, providing exhibition space plus a retail outlet. Exhibits change quarterly. The Gallery is usually open normal business hours Monday–Friday but please call ahead to ensure our small staff are on hand: 651-774-5422. Current Exhibit: Ruth Oseid Johnson.

Ruth is a painter in oils and a color lithographic printmaker.  Her paintings are in the permanent collections of two major museums in Minnesota, the Minnesota Museum of American Art and the Minnesota Historical Museum, as well as in numerous private and corporate collections across the country and Europe.  She focuses on the effects of light in interior settings and in her landscapes.  Color and design are tools she uses to bring her paintings and prints to life and people, individually or in groups, are frequent subjects in her work.  She grew up in the Twin Cities and attended Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Minnesota.  She did extensive post-graduate work at the University and in private classes.  She has taught art in public schools as well as in private classes and workshops in Minnesota, California and Arizona, and has shown her work extensively in galleries in these states.
