2021 Virtual Residency at Txuj Ci HMong Language and Culture ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!

Once again, Peter Morrow worked his magic with the kindergartners and first graders at Txuj Ci HMong Language and Culture. A year later still experiencing the effects of the pandemic, Peter worked with the teachers to utilize their virtual learning platform to still provide the classes with their residency. Below are the 6 songs created by the students with the help of Peter and his guitar!

2020 Virtual Residency at Txuj Ci HMong Language and Culture Elementary School!

Everything was all set for the music and songwriting residency for the kindergartners at Txuj Ci, taught by Peter Morrow, when the schools closed due to the pandemic. Luckily, Peter is exceptional with technology and worked with the teachers to utilize their virtual learning platform to still provide the kindergarten classes with their residency. Below are the two songs that came from this work.

For I Water My Plants, students were asked to list three things that grow, draw pictures of those things, and say what they can do to help them grow. For Community Helpers, students were asked to name three community helpers, draw pictures of those helpers, and also say what they can do to help their community.
