Greetings, gardeners and Poetry Park lovers! 🌻👩🌾
We are excited to start a new season at the Dragon Garden at Phalen Poetry Park. Hope you can be a part of the happenings here gardening, poetry readings, as well as time to meet with friends and family in a quiet and beautiful space.
Starting Saturday, May 23rd will be our first spring work day. Let me know if you are able to help us for an hour or more to weed, plant and mulch the garden and do spread the word to friends and neighbors.
Recurring on Wednesday evenings from 5:30–7:30 PM. Please join us whenever you are able, to weed and water the garden or read a poem to the gardeners. We welcome helpers of all ages! If other days are better for you, we can arrange to meet you at other times.
Besides our scheduled work times, you are invited to do some guerilla gardening, that is, choose a small section of the garden to weed and or water on your own time and maybe, even add plants that we will provide. This can be a one-time event or it can happen throughout the summer.
In addition to gardening help, we always welcome financial contributions to be able to purchase plants and other materials, as well as to support other projects, such as maintenance of the post, benches, and creation of a bell 'sculpture'. Again, many thanks to those of you who supported us last year.
