East Side Arts Council presents Going Back to the Circle exhibition featuring artist Mayumi Amada. She has been an Artmobile instructor since 2008 and continues to teach with us every summer.

Amada is an environmental artist whose works has been shown at Minneapolis Institute of Art and White Bear Center for the Arts. She earned her MFA in sculpture at the University of Minnesota.

Her work revolves around the reuse of recycled materials such as plastic bottles, grocery bags, and more. Amada’s work focuses on eternity and the circle of life through the lens of mortality. She also uses water as a sub-theme in her art.

We are gardening on every Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm spring, summer, and early fall.

🌻👩‍🌾

You are invited to do some guerilla gardening, choose a small section of the garden to weed and or water on your own time and maybe, even add plants that we will provide. All ages are welcomed.

We always welcome financial contributions to purchase plants, other materials, support other projects, such as maintenance of the post, benches, and creation of a bell 'sculpture' in the park. Many thanks to those of you who supported us last year.

If you are interested in joining or if you have questions, contact Mem Lloyd at email: meml01@yahoo.com
